October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are supporting this cause with our Save the Ta-tas event. Our quarterly crop will be 60 hours on October 15th, 16th and 17th. The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday day crops will run from 9am-9pm. The night crops on Friday and Saturday are 9pm-9am. Cricut fun at Charleston Scrapbooking!

Cricut Intermediate for your Expression Tuesday 9/28 6:30pm-8:30pm $25
You'll make an adorable layout, a card with matching envelope, and a 3-D project. The techniques utilize all the functions on your expression, to take your Cricuting skills to the next level. All materials provided, except adhesive.

Cricut Demo Day Wednesday 10/6 All day No fee
All Day Wednesday, The Mom will be demonstrating different functions and features of the Cricut machines, including the Gypsy, the Jukebox, and Design Studio. Come on in with your questions and we'll address them for you. We are planning a special surprise, so keep your eyes on the blog.

Cricut Swarm Saturday 10/9 9:30am-5:30pm No fee
Don't miss October's Cricut Swarm. There is no fee for this Cricuteer get together on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Just bring your machine and cartridges and come play with us. Bring a project you want to work on, or just make random cuts. Get ideas from other Cricut enthusiasts; and they may have a cartridge you want to use. Round and Round and Round it goes...

So, Patty stopped by today to get some input on cutting her daughter's wedding pic into a circle for the paper she had chosen. My Cricut was ready and up for the task! We placed the picture on the mat, using a piece of card stock to brayer it down so it wouldn't slide. We moved the blade housing to the upper center of the 8.5x11 print and cut the portrait in a 7.5" circle, to accommodate the heads of the tall Groom and his not so tall Bride. Then, we cut an 8" circle from black textured Bazzill for the mat.
et voila!!!...

Cricut Swarm 2nd Saturday of every month

It was another great day at Charleston Scrapbooking.
Our monthly Cricut Swarm was buzzing!

Terrie's back and showing her Cricutalents. This is an awesome 3D layout!




We had old friends and new ones and are saying goodbye to Belinda, whose family is being relocated to Houston. We'll miss her! She made a paper bag album, some really cute cards and her travel album, using 50 States.

Cricut Swarm and classes at Charleston Scrapbooking

Be sure not to miss the Cricut Swarm this month, 9/11/10 9:30am-5:30pm. (It's always on the second Sunday.) Bring your machine and your cartridges and get ready to have fun with your fellow Cricuteers!

Today we had a visit from Cheryl A., the grand prize winner of Provo Craft's Sneak Peek contest. She and her mother are fun and friendly people. They'll fit right in at Charleston Scrapbooking! Cheryl joined our Cricut Club and will be coming to our Cricut Swarms. She'll tell us all about the Imagine machine, which was part of her prize package. We welcome Cheryl to our family of crafter's.

Cricut Swarm Saturday 9/11 9:30am-5:30pm No fee!

Word Book Tuesday 9/14 $35

In this class you will make a cascading chip board word book, using your Cricut and Design Studio. Familiarity with the software is needed. Design Studio 101 recommended.



Layering with your Cricut Wednesday 9/15 @ 10am $25

The Mom will show you the tricks to layering with your Cricut. You will benefit from this class whether you have the Original, Create, or Expression machine. We use the Mickey and Friends and the Mickey Font cartridges, because I am such a Disney fan. But, the class is all about the technique, so join us for some fun!



Cricut 101 Tuesday 9/21 @ 6:30pm & Wednesday 9/22 @ 10:30am $20

Learn the basics of operating your machine. Whether you have had your Cricut 2 months or 2 years, The Mom guarantees you will benefit from the class. If you don't agree after taking the 101, I will apply the fee to another class. Can't beat that!



Gypsy 101 Wednesday 9/22 @ 6:30pm $25

Let The Mom save you time and frustration and learn to love your new toy! Bring your Cricut and your Gypsy, with all your cartridges loaded. If you are taking the class and need help with that, just give me a call.



Cricut Intermediate for your Expression Wednesday @ 6:30pm $25
